About The BraveShooters International Photography Awards (BIPA)



Mission: To salute the achievements of the world's finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and to promote the appreciation of photography.




The BraveShooters International Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for professional, non- professional, and student photographers on a national, continental and global scale, creating one of the most ambitious and comprehensive competitions in the photography world today.


The winners of the main categories listed below will compete for BIPA's top award of BraveShooters International Photographer of the Year. Those finalists will be invited to attend the BraveShooters Awards at the City Hall, Lagos, Nigeria where one photographer will be announced as the grand winner, earning the coveted Lucie Statue and a cash prize of $5,000 provided by our sponsors. In addition, the nominees in the non-professional and student categories will be invited to the BraveShooters Awards to compete for the title of the BraveShooter Discovery of the Year, a BraveShooter Statue and $2,000 cash prize.


The BraveShooters International Photography Awards (BIPA) invites passionate photographers, professionals and non-professionals alike, to compete for the title of the BraveShooters International Photographer of the Year, Discovery of the Year and other categories. The competition is judged by a board of esteemed photo editors, curators, gallery owners, art directors and other luminaries from the international photography community. The award includes a BraveShooters' Statue and cash prizes totaling to $20,000.


In addition to these top prizes, all entrants will compete for Certificates of Achievement in eight major categories: Editorial, Advertising, Nature, Architecture, Portraiture, Specialty Media, Fine Art and Photography Book (professional category only).
